When I saved the images on the computer of the microscope, they appeared blue for DAPI stained nuclei, and green for FITC stained cellular membranes. When I took the images and opened them on my computer, they appeared black and white either saved as JPEG or TIF image.
Changing pixel bit depth will sort your problem. Check for change pixel bit depth option in the software. Usually this feature will be in edit menu.
1. From the Edit menu, select the Change Bit Depth option. The Change Bit Depth window displays the current Bit Depth for image.
2. Select the pixel bit depth that you want to change . For DAPI and FITC you need to change it to 24RGB.
After changing the pixel depth, you save the images. Hope this helps!
