I am using 3d cylindrical pipe, steady state, segregated solver for simulation immiscible flow in a pipe. I am getting this error " divergence detected in AMG solver:vof1 " I tried with all possible URF with minimum values too but still facing problem with convergence. If there is someone who can advise me on how to solve this problem, I will much appreciate that.

Check grid resolution. Appropriate turbulence model.
Appropriate time step size. Initially run case with default values of relaxation factors. I recommend that you prefer unsteady in viscid first followed by actual simulation with real BCs. Regards&Merci.
Secondly gradient n mesh should not be too much. I mean there should be swift transition of mesh within sub layers. If you are using factor here in ICEM CFD. Regards
Thanks to all of you, the problem has been solved by changing the mesh number.
