I watch all your three parts of fracture videos and i appreciate you for them,but the point is you used VCCT method in abaqus, but i want to use XFEM method instead. I wawnt to propagate an edge crack under fatigue load. (Load-Control)
Am doing a project on simulation of crack growth propagation in shell elements using ansys. I have designed the model and determined the stress intensity factor k1 using APDL codes.

Hello, I am working on modeling of 3D CT specimen under tension low cyclic analysis (direct approach). I have convergence problems: the force eq. uses to converge after too many iterations (150 or more) and sometimes even it does not. I tried to change meshing (reducing) as well as simplifying the model.
Any suggestion?
I also have many other questions, is there someone experienced in this matter?

I am working on a numerical evaluation of mode I damage propagation in composite materials..I need to plot the Crack length vs. opening displacement or Fracture energy vs. Crack length..but i don't know how to find the data for Crack length..As i searched in google we can not obtain data for Crack length on History output.
