I haven't worked in your case type but I feel you should add damage and Johnson cook properties and in explicit while assigning Mesh element properties please during choosing the element , turn on the check-box of element deletion.

I do not think that you should use the element deletion feature in this case unless the material really fractures in the process. Instead You should use the ALE - adaptive meshing feature to control the FE-mesh distortion in the process.

Thanks for your valuable reply. I added some Johnson cook properties in damage section as Mithilesh said and I observed some progress in my model, the challenge of using Johnson cook properties is that it seems it is not easy to find strain parameters needed for all materials. But I will go through ALE-adaptive meshing as well. Abaqus tutorial reveal that it is very effective for large strain problems. Thanks Timo as well for his good idea.

I have not work in HPT but I had the same problem (extensive mesh distortion) in another severe plastic deformation technique i.e., constrained groove pressing. I used adaptive meshing as Timo suggested, and the problem was solved.
