You can use the biomaRt R package to get the sequence of the gene.

# Based on "https://metazoa.ensembl.org/index.html", you can find three Mollusca genome assembly in Ensembl Metazoa

# Crassostrea gigas genes

# Lottia gigantea genes

# Octopus bimaculoides genes

library(biomaRt)

listMarts(host="metazoa.ensembl.org")

Thanks for your help, but that won't work for me. I need to get the RefSeq sequences of one gene of almost 100 different mollusk species for alignment and universal primer design.

Ok, I'm not sure, but I think there are no sequences of one gene belonging to a hundred mollusk species.

I have the gene IDs from which I need to download the FASTA sequence. I only wanted an easier way to do it instead of one by one.

I know, Im late, but it can be helpful for somebody anyway...

On the NCBI page with all the entries, where batch entrez redirects, tap "Send" on the upper right just above entries. There choose "file" and "FASTA".

If you are familiar with R use :

library(ape)

seqs

Best cite is NCBI FOR RETRIVAL you have to slect one by one and copy and paste on your work sheet otherwise if you download directly you have to clearify all other contents
