A solute (carbonized fine particles) was initially water insoluble. I treated it with nitric acid+water (7:3) under reflux condition for 3-4 hrs and I got a brownish solution to make it soluble. I removed insoluble solute by centrifugation. After centrifugation I got around 85 ml from 100 ml initial volume. How can I remove nitric acid and water to get my water soluble particles. Can I dilute it with water and then dry on water bath?
