Hi,

Last week I start seeing this weird noise while I was doing some recordings. This noise seems like some firing spikes, and every spike is formed by two small spikes. We have tried everything, like change the amplifier ( a 700b model), the digidata (1550b), headstage and nothing worked. Then we turn off all the elecronic equipment, check the grounding wires and anything could solve our problem. We even call Technical support and the tech who was helping us said "he had never seen that kind of noise" . So, they recommend to send the amplifier back to them but as I mentioned before, we used another amplifier and didn't work either.

I must say that, when the headstage is covered with foil, the noise seems to be gone (using the model cell), but when I place the holder, I need to cover all that area (I mean to cover the holder completely) so I can reduce this noise.

Have you seen somenthing like this before?

Do you think is actually a amplifier defect or somenthing releated to the ambient?

Thank you!
