i'm doing reseatch in chrome plating. In which i find the iron content of our lab bath is quite high (~20g/L) in almost 1000L bath.
So far i researched it and found 3 solution:
1. Stripping the Fe content with ceramic lining and current (too expensive to invest and take too long)
2. Using magnetic filter (only filter particle, the high iron content is mostly ion)
3. Using ion exchanger resin filter.
Now i am not an expert for ion exchanger resin. So i want to know which resin can remove iron and trivalent chrome the most while still containing hexavalent chrome

Chromium(III) can generally be precipitated from aqueous solutions as chromium(III) phosphate or as chromium(III) hydroxide.

Carlos Araújo Queiroz Thank you for your answer but what i find the answer was actually just to reduce the toxicity, but what i've found that after the filtration of iron content the hexavalent chromium is actually can be reuse for another chrme plating.
Markus Christ Thanky you for the information, but i dont think i am capable to electrodialyisis the entire bath. took way too expspensive and way too long
