Thank you for your intention. I have purchased some How to reconstitution 6-Hydroxydopamine hydrobromide in sigma. The description indicate that the stuff should be reconstituted by addition of 2 mL of buffer per 5 mg vial provides a solution containing 10 mM 6-hydroxydopamine and 0.01% (w/v) ascorbic acid. I do not know what kind of buffer can I use? Is 0.9% OK?

Better to use 0.1M phosphate buffer with 0.9% sodium chloride (PBS in all the histology protocols). The solution is quite acid so I think the buffer is worth it. Use it before it goes brown! It goes off over a day on ice. You can freeze aliquots and just melt as much as you need.

6-Hydroxydopamine is light and oxygen sensitive, Always keep in dark bottles and store in dark places., Use degassed solvents / nitrogen purges solvents for making solutions.
