I have a series of raman spectra sent to me by a collaborator to perform some data analysis on. The data are .tsf files which I have not dealt with before and I can't find how to read these files directly. Ideally I would like to open and process these files with Mathematica; how can I do this? or is there another program that I can use to open them and export them as a .csv?
The best way is to ask your collaborator to convert your file by the veodnor's Raman data collection software, most spectroscopic software has the ability to convert their own propritetary software format into text file or csv file
Mr. Stevenson with Thermo Galactic Grams/AI software. It can operate with all output formats from currently available IR amd Raman spectrometers. And not only currently available spectrometers. It is available on:

Thanks for you replies, but I'm more interested in the computer doing the hard work rather than me or a colleague as I have hundreds of files to process. I would really like to know what the encryption/encoding of these files is so I can open them in Mathematica and process them as a batch. From my reading it looks like they were created with LabSpec, but that's all the information I can find.
