In power systems steady state analysis, the transformer is modeled by a reactance, while in machines courses, it has an exact equivalent circuit, which is obtained by open and short circuit tests. So, given that the the exact equivalent circuit parameters are known, how to obtain the equivalent series reactance? As well, if the equivalent series reactance is known, how to obtain the parameters of the exact equivalent circuit?
For a balanced three phase system we can simply obtain the Z matrix and we can use that for load flow study as the equivalent T/F model.
