I have a question about the thermal efficiency of photovoltaic thermal (PVT) system by CFD (FLUENT) method.
Why thermal efficiency in the morning with 400 W/m2 radiation is more than Thermal efficiency in the afternoon with 1000 W/m2 radiation

There is no problem with the equation 3 related the efficiency. However, thermal efficiency also depends on many things such as ambient temperature, losses, etc.
Back to your question, the efficiency in the morning (low radiation) better than in the aftenoon (high radiation)?
It might be caused by heat loss of the system. As you may already know that the heat loss will be higher when temperature difference between yourPVT system and ambient is higher. At high solar radiation, the temperature of your system is higher and causes higher thermal losses. cmiiw

The old generation of PVT depending majary by the solar intensity and its effecincy effected directly by increase of temperatue, and that mean when the solar intensity increase so its temperature increase too, and that lead to drop in PVT effeciency specially if the temperature of panal incrase more than 38 C, so many studes working about to cooling the PVT, other side ther is a new generation of PVT keep with good effeciency at high temperature.
