Here is some information that can be helpfully for you.
Firstly, please consider that the solubility of PLA in some can be determined by some factors (e.g., the content in D isomer). In this context, I’m sending to you the information available from NatureWorks, which is the main producer of PLA, about the solubility of this polymer.
Regarding the poly(ethylene/vinyl acetate) (EVA), frequently you will find that this copolymer is given as soluble in toluene, xylene, THF, MEK, etc.
It comes out that THF could be a good alternative as solvent (for PLA and EVA), you have the possibility to begin with some diluted solutions, whereas the heating and the vigorous mixing could be beneficially. Chloroform is also a very good option as solvent for PLA, and it is used currently by us in the preparation of solutions for molecular characterizations by SEC.

You can use many compatibilizers. You should find in literature. I am sure that you will find your answer to your problem.
