Which standard can I measure the anodized coating thickness on the aluminum tube? This tube is used in the fin evaporator in the refrigerator. I need the ASTM standard for the measurement of anodized coating thickness.
The outer Dia = 7 mm
thickness= .8 mm

Standard Test Method for Measurement of Thickness of Anodic Coatings on Aluminum is ASTM B244
The anodic layer is well soluble in solution: 35 mL/L H3PO4 + 20g/L CrO3.
The anodic layer can also be removed in solution: 100 mL/L H2SO4+10mL/L HF.
For the anode layer height measuring, an instrument with eddy current technology can be used, the Fischer DualScope MPOR, that enables measuring height/width of the layers up to 200 μm.
The standard test method is used according to ASTM B244.

a simple method could be to make different sections of the anodized tube and then, after possible incorporation in cold resin (... but it is also possible without it) and subsequent metallographic polishing, check the dimensions and the homogeneity of the thickness under the metallographic microscope.
An advantage is also being able to view the interface and the structure with a view of any defects present.
