Hi all
I am working with rat liver tissue nuclear extraction. After I have measured the caetylation rate of the PGC1 alpha, now I would like to measure the Thr178 phosphorylation, in order to study different ways in which this protein is activated.
I was looking for an antibody to measure the phosphorylation by western blot, but I am not able to find any antibody online (only an antibody for Serine phosphorylation measurement).
I would really appreciate any kind of help.

I will use the human nomenclature here as you did (i.e. Thr178 in human seems to align with Thr176 in rat). Why is it that you think that of all of the phosphorylation sites Thr178 phosphorylation is particularly interesting and/or involved in activating PGC1 alpha? I haven't looked at the references carefully, but they seem to indicate that phosphorylation at Ser571 is inhibitory and phosphorylation at Thr263, Ser266, and Thr299 regulates protein stability. Of course if you really want to look at Thr178 phosphorylation, you could have a custom polyclonal antibody made. There are likely some affordable offers out there.
A potential problem with phospho-specific antibodies is that they might not always be target-specific. A certain validation would be required. There are ways to identify any good working antibody in the market, but such methods are not easy to develop. Contact me if help is required finding the right antibody.
