The dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) is widely used to evaluate crosslink density of thermosets. According to the statistical theory of rubber elasticity, the equilibrium elastic modulus (which corresponds to the storage modulus at low frequencies) is directly related to the crosslink density of the network. It has been well reported that the theory also applies to thermoset epoxy resins using the value of modulus in the rubbery plateau region (above Tg).
there is an indirect relationships between cosslink density and swellability. There is some work in this direction, sooner I will provide with documents. Regards
