Dear Saeed, my lab uses poly-L-lysine from Sigma-Aldrich. and we follow their protocol, usually preparing 500 slides per batch. We always clean slides with acidified alcohol (1%HCl in IMS), and wash thoroughly before coating. Please read the specification sheet for P8920 from Sigma. Another very good alternative is coating slides with APES solution (3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane), tissue sections adhere very well with either coating, even for 2-day multi-step IHC procedures with microwave antigen retrieval. The protocol followed by Professor Maria is good and after cleaning coverslips or slides you can also try Egg albumin.
Etching Slides for Lysine Coating (Ramin Farahani)
Protocol
1) Soak slides in 3% HCl (~1M) for 10 minutes
2) Rinse three times in dH20
3) Scrape one drop of 0.01 % poly-l-lysine across the slide and allow to dry
