I am following Cawthon's, 2009 method for measuring telomere length. I want to know if its ok to take sperm DNA as standard DNA for the standard curve

Since sperm DNA are supposed to have longer telomere length than that of somatic cells, my T/S ratio are all below 1. Is this a problem, as I see in many papers they are between 1 and 2.
