I have eight new synthesized transition metal complexes. I want to know:
1- The percentage of weight loss of complexes released parts[ the data contain weight loss only(mg)].
2- Lattice or coordinated water molecules
3- The number of water molecules
4- The nature of released parts

Hi Ahmed Abbas, ....I thought your question has already on discussion before and there were a few answers. Anyway, in addition to previous answer, I think you have to know first the principle of ThermoGravimetry Analysis (TGA). In general, From the TG (information of Chemical reaction and physical transition) graph, in chemical reaction, you can explore the thermal decomposition (water vapour evolved, carbon oxides or nitro-oxides etc) at certain (or unique) temperature (represented by decline the curve; corrosion and oxidation metal ion (represented by incline the curve); combustion process (decline the curve); decomposition or multi (double decline the curve), and explosion decomposition with recoil effect. Another information i.e., melting process, such as: straight-line (no change or effect), decline like exponensial line (volatile melt or evaporation process), sample melt with decomposition (straight-line and decline steeply). So from your data you can examine that water (if it is existed) will be evaporated at temperature below 200 oC (devided in two region : 90-140 correspond to the weak bind of water and region 150-200 correspond to the strong bind of water ( or coordinated water molecules). So the next evident in your TG curve (around 300 oC), you can estimate to the complexes-decomposition ( types of ligands ; weak or strong binding etc). I hope this will be useful to further interpretation.
