How can I initiate a test with VJ Tech Bender Element on a oedometer size soil sample?

I am pretty much stuck with running the first bender element test on my soil specimens. I have indeed followed the instructions in the manual, but, it seems that there is something that I have not done. Tips will be much appreciated.

NB. This is a VJTech Bender Element suite and I use the Clisp software (see pictures attached).
