I want to know for doing EDX analysis to examine the elements present in the biomass, should I do the first pyrolysis or directly do the powder sample analysis? which one is the most favorable? please tell me.

I consider that by introducing pyrolysis there is already a procedure that introduces modifications in the characteristics of the biomass, since the volatile components and reducing the sample to powder with prior drying or size reduction must also have effects on the composition, which is why there is to use either a technique that directly requires contents or that adds the contents in each of the separate ones in the aforementioned operations and others such as dissolution could result.
