Hello, I have a filter disc with a porosity of 0.2 um. Can I obtain a porosity of 0.1 um by combining two of them in series (one on top of the other)?
Would that be a bit like the HEPA filters, which can reach 99.9% purification because they work in pairs?

I don't think it would work like that. You would just get a thicker, and therefore slower, 0.2 µm filter. You can buy 0.1 µm filter membranes.

Stacking two 0.2 µm filter discs in series improves particle capture but does not reduce the effective pore size to 0.1 µm. To achieve finer filtration, you need a filter specifically rated for 0.1 µm or finer.
