Dear Professors,
I have developed a new algorithm for P2P networks routing. And before I assume that it is a good one, I need first to simulate it then compare it to the existing ones.
While I was looking for a simulation tool for my algorithm, I found the Riverbed 17.5 Academic solution.
The problem is, I don't know how to implement the algorithm in Riverbed. I implemented a Peer-to-Peer file sharing application in it, but I am still not able to implement the algorithm.

Perhaps you can change measurements (like - parameters ) only in an academic version. According to the parameters you can build your algorithm in any C/C++/Java IDE and go with your custom codes.
But in the complete version you can change full code specification. The complete version is not available in the internet.You have to buy it from Riverbed using your institute valid address or institute library address.
In omnet++ you can model anything cause it is an opensourse software platform for real time simulations. Here,I'm preferring Windows or Linux(ubuntu) OS.

There are various learning videos on you-tube.Try to install commercial version to fully utilize opnet.
