I am making microcapsules from gelatin and sodium alginate as shell materials and ammonium phosphate as the core material, after the emulsion formation I do centrifugal to separate the microcapsules from the solution, then I have a suspension include the microcapsules which I must wash to get rid of the nonencapsulated core and getting pure microcapsules. So what is the suitable solvent to wash microcapsules after centrifugal? Is it distilled water, acetone or ethanol? And what is the way for washing? Is it adding the solvent to microcapsules and doing centrifugal or let it to dry in air?

And is these steps correct? : centrifugal- drying the suspension to get microcapsules- wash microcapsules with a solvent- drying again?
