Hi, I'm currently trying to understand the "Two wave with diffuse power" (TWDP) probability density distribution and test a method of moments estimator. However, I have a problem generating data from this distribution. I was wondering if there is a way to generate it.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Jorge,
For this model, you have to fix the amplitude of the two waves V_1 and V_2 and the power of the diffuse power P_dif. Then you can generate data as follows
R=|V_1 exp(j Phi_1) + V_2 exp(j Phi_2) + V_dif |
where Phi_1 and Phi_2 are the iid phased that are uniformly distributed in [0, 2 pi] and V_dif is a zero mean circularly symmetric complex Gaussian random variable of variance V_dif
