I am running optimization using Optimizer Tool in CST 2014. I do not know why after about 300 iterations, the optimization is suddenly stopped with an error showing up (see figure). I need to keep running my optimization but it always is stopped suddenly. In my design, each iteration takes about 5 minutes. Is there any one who has the same problem? Can any one help me to solve this problem? Thank you.
It seems that your PC has been crashed due to overloading data. You can try to optimise every variable once at a time and study the effect of each one alone. Otherwise, you can use a PC with a better RAM (let's say at least 8G).

Thank you for your answer, Mr. Mustafa Bakr. However, I am using PC with 16G RAM. So I think it it not because of the computer. Also I am running optimization with about 20 paramters, it is time consuming to check every parameter individually.
I would advise to take contact with the CST helpdesk, they have a very strong support team.

Maybe its because for that particular set of parameters CST crashes (modeler cannot build the SAT file). If it always crashes at the same point that may be the reason. You should identify which set is that and make it forbidden, in the parameter set.
If the same optimization runs into the same problem on another computer then you can rule out your PC,as Mr. Bark suggested. Might not be only due to RAM, a lot of problems can happen even with nice hardware. Operational system, conflicts with other packages, video properties, etc.
You should also use the latest Service Pack, in case you dont have it. Might be due to a bug.

1. Clean up unnecessary old result files from the directory and re-simulate
2. If no.1 doesn't work, save the project in different name and re-simulate
3. If no.2 doesn't work, redraw the design, and re-simulate.

CST errors when i'm defining parameters
Hi, I'm trying to create a cylinder by parameters like "r_in" as it's smaller radius...but it gives me the following error : unable to evaluate expression "r_in".
(that's when I gave it r_in=2.5,and I have no error when I set it to 2 or some other values) ... it dose not work with floating parameter value, but when i give it the same floating value directly (not define parameter), it work well.
please guide me
