i need to find area under the curve and partial area under curve ,i know how to find the area under the whole curve but i am having doubts as how to find the later. dsc data includes heat absorbed or heat released during the heating of sample (with respect to the reference ). the crystallisation peak appears somewhat similar to the gaussian curve ,i need to find the area somewhat less than half of area under the whole gaussian curve.
please help.

Normally the DSC software will help you integrate the peak area. If you need to do it manually, we used triangulation and the cut-and-weigh method back in the dark ages.

Most software should provide that to you after you define the boundaries and limitations.
