Fabricating the SMS structure, as mentioned in numerous SMS-related journals, is often described as an effortless process involving the cascading of a short-length multimode fiber between two single-mode fibers.

However, despite multiple attempts, I have been unable to successfully fabricate the SMS structure and obtain the desired SMS spectrum. I would like to identify the potential problems that may be hindering the achievement of the SMS spectrum.
