How can I extract (crude) chemicals from fleshy bulbs to study bioactive compounds?

I need to extract compounds from fleshy bulbs. Cannot use conventional method of drawing for Soxhlet extraction.

As per my experience you will extract your plant material(bulbs) by cold extraction method and use 20% water and 80% methanol (Hydroalcohal) solvent for extraction your plant material. All the best
