I am not sure if you compare the low JSC to standard or other diodes.Does the voltage also decrease?Generally low JSC affects the ideality factor as the series resistance may decrease accordingly. ideally relatively higher JSC is needed for a corresponding Rs that may reduce the FF at some point.
