I am trying to simulate THz metamaterials in CST Microwave studio where the transmission needs to be studied with varied amplitude of the excitation signal and the field confinement in my structure in each case. Would highly appreciate your suggestions on this...

Unless the materials you are using are non-linear, by which I mean that the dielectric and/or magnetic properties vary with field strength, the the S-parameters and all other ratios will not change with the amplitude or phase of the excitation. The field confinement will not change. The ratio of powers inside and outside will remain the same, and the ratio of power in to power radiated will remain the same.
I don't think CST time domain solver solves for non-linear materials unless the input pulse is the same as the signal that you will be using.
Malcolm White Yes the material happens to be non-linear, the optical properties are dependent upon the field strength. Which is why I want to alter the field strength.
I don't know how to do it. This white paper from CST indicates that it is possible. Probably there is more available on the web and in the help.
