A good place to start will be the book: Biomass Gasification and Pyrolysis: Practical Design and Theory by Prabir Basu (CRC Press). The book presents in detail the various concepts for design of pyrolysis and gasification reactors.
However, it is important to note that the design of a pyrolysis reactor for optimal bio-oil production must be preceded by a detailed characterisation study of the solid fuel properties of feedstock biomass.
This will enable the designer screen for the most important variables from; heating rate, residence time, particle size, gas flow rates among other variables. Next, the design of experiments, reactor tests, and optimization can be performed.
Nobody is asking for data. I am not even interested in gathering data However, I want to rob mind with progressive researchers who are available for collaboration.
