In PSCAD, there are two parameters named "Rated RMS Line to Neutral Voltage" and "Rated RMS Line Current" in synchronous machine. You can only define the rated power capacity by using these two parameters as follows:
Rated Capacity=3*[Rated RMS Line to Neutral Voltage]*[Rated RMS Line Current].
It is not like MATLAB to directly insert the rated power value.
I know, but there is a research topic name as " coordinated control of Conventional power plants and Distributed energy resources for load frequency control", as the title indicates, how much each generator generates power should be specified in order to keep the frequency within its limits.
but there is no solution for it in PSCAD software...
You are right, and I know what you mean. As far as I know that is the only way you can define MVA of each generator in PSCAD. For MW, you need to calculate every thing by your own self to get the voltage angle in each bus considering the rated current and voltage of the generators to keep frequency stable.
