Please, I want to create a geometry in Matlab and issue a command from Matlab to Patran (or any other dedicated software) to mesh the geometry and return an output file which will be an input file to Abaqus for finite element analysis of the meshed geometry, in an iterative way. Please, help me. Thank you.

you can use PDE toolbox to create a geometry and mesh it with cst elements. it gives you the nodes coordinates and the table connectivity matrix. then you can use them as inputs for abaqus, I guess!
just type pdetool in matlab command window.

is the geometry you want complicated? if not, you may actually make some codes to compute.the loaction of the nodes and then write them into a inp file with abaqus rules. i have done this for a curved turbine blade. all of the mesh are generated based the codes with some given variables or parameters.
