How can I conduct the hydrolysis of polyacrylamide?

I did the experiment with 2M NaOH in 60°C for 24h, but no hydrolysis occured. Can anyone advise me on how to improve the protocol to achieve the successful hydrolysis of polyacrylamide?

Hydrolysis of polyacrylamide you can reflux amide with alcoholic 2M NaOH for 2-3 hrs & then neutralize by HCl to get acid.
