Iam simulating spillway using CFX how I can select appropriate time scale with turbulent intensity and length for inlet and outlet, because when I run my model It does not reach to convergence, some times during run said (a portion of outlet 30% .......)
I reckon you should use physical time scale for such flows in CFX.
As far as the turbulence intensity is concerned then you should always opt as close as real flow. For instance if you consider the flow at in let in real is low intensity then choose low, medium or high. For Outlet I would suggest choose Medium Intensity or High if there is too much gravity influence.
The message 30% shows that solver is creating walls. There are two options 1. You can select a wall by yourself. or 2. Leave the solver and don't do anything this message will be finished once solver stabilizes itself.

I have physical model (which is side channel spillway) , I can not put a wall at the outlet, because i have stilling basin here, water create a jump . what is your suggestion about increasing the outlet length of my domain.
