Thank you Mr. Ankit...but the document has no information on post processing, viz., how to obtain wall temperatures, bulk temperatures or wall shear stress..

Hello: For post-processing I use the open-source software Paraview (http://www.paraview.org/), and with that you should be able to calculate the temperature, shear stresses, etc.

In addition, have you joined and posited questions to the forums on CFD-online (http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/)? I have found the forums there to be immensely helpful. There are sub-forums for solvers, post-processing, etc. I would be very surprised if you didn't have some luck in finding that your question has already been answered there (at least mostly). instead of using post-processing, you can set monitor points at the pre-processor. In this way, you will be able to monitor the temperatures at each time step realtime. This can be done by setting expressions. Hope that helps. 

Shouldn't be the wall the temperature be a part of your simulation result. I guess when simulating a heat exchanger your should somehow model the heat exchange within the solid wall. Concerning your question on the wall shear stress, you can use ParaView als already mentioned to calculate the shear stress in the fluid phase. However, when your want to calculate the wall shear stress you will probably need the derivative of the velocity profile near the wall. Depending on the resolution of your computational mesh you will need an interpolation of your velocity to obtain a function describing your velocity profile. However, this can all be done in ParaView by writing a new plugin (see link).

commercial codes such as fluent, star-ccm, ...etc do have this variables as part of the post-processing you just need to select the boundary wall and display the variable you need.

I am curious. Is this related to an actual prototype problem or perhaps an example problem for how to develop a CFD model or perhaps a validation of a CFD code? The double pipe heat transfer problem is perhaps the simplest configuration and was the basis for many of the foundational experimental studies of the past century, the data from which formed the basis for empirical correlations. The velocity profiles, shear stresses, temperature profiles, and heat transfer coefficients are well known and presented in a number of classical textbooks. If you simply want a quantitative answer, that would be the place to go. That is, if you're not intentionally wanting to work with a CFD model. CFD models are typically reserved for much more complex geometries, as there is so much more work involved than applying empirical correlations.

@ Dudly Benton, the configuration is simple...it is proposed to extend this work further to nanofluids and other heat transfer enhancement methods in the double pipe hx..

I have been facing difficulty in extracting data like bulk temperature in the inner pipe and wall temperature along the inner surface of inner pipe...

I tried to create iso surface...but it is being created at two locations at a given axial length as there will be two legs of double pipe in case of two pass hx...

If you say you're having difficulty extracting data then I presume you're already using some particular CFD code? Also, do you have thermal and transport property data for an actual nanofluid or would you be using expected properties for a proposed nanofluid?
