First, I would like to know whether the oral intake pathway is obligatory. Or is it possible to inject the ethanolic extract subcutaneously at various dilutions?

If the latter is not the desired route, then same volumes of the sample at different dilutions can be soaked in a food pellet which is then given to individual mice after short starvation.

In this case,

· A small portion of the extract is taken (1 ml. ….e.g. )

· placed it in an any small vessel (a small petri dish).

· The petri dish shall be weighed prior to the adding the extract (To be 10 g).

· Place 1 ml extract or less or more according to the conditions and write the size used (1 ml).

· The solution is evaporated by any method( hot air …… e.g. ).

· The petri dish shall be weighed after evaporation (shall be 1.01 g. … e.g. )

· Therefore, the concentration of the extract (= 1.01-1) / 1 = 0.01 g / mL

· The result will multiple by 106 to convert it to ppm. The plant extract concentration will be in this case 10000 ppm

· Diluted the original extract to the desired concentration.

Concentration of the extract = (weight of the petri dish after draining the extract - the weight of the petri dish is empty) / the size of the solution in ml = concentration in g / ml
