I want to model a precast concrete segment of tunnel using Flac 3D tool. My study focuses on the failures and damage areas that may be occurred on the concrete surfaces . So, I chose the Strain Softening/Hardening material model to show the damage (Plastic) zones. But I have got some problems about defining a relationship between plastic shear strain and cohesion, and another relationship between the plastic strain and friction angle for my research.
And I do not know, how I can suppose to calculate the values for Concrete (C45/55) in Tabular format.
in the following figure: C, Eps and fi represent Cohesion, Plastic shear strain and Friction angle, respectively.
It would be so great if you may help me to solve.

Dear Behzad,
If you are using strain-softening model, , you have two options.
you can either write a couple of lines with FISH to provide the exact relationship between your inputs and then summon them with PROPERTY command, or you can simply give the corresponding (x1,y1) in a TABLE command and then use PROPERTY command.

My approch is using Strain & Hardening Model. You can refer to Manual of Flac 3D in section of User guide And references.

Strain softening and hardening is related to the accumulated plastic shear strain. We have to provide change of cohesion and friction angle with plastic shear strain. It is very difficult to establish the relation between these parameters andplastic shear strain. For accuracy you have to measure these from triaxial data. Otherwise you directly use empirical relation given in paper "Numerical estimation of pillar strength in coal mines" by Dr. Sheorey
