I prepared a polycrystalline LCMO thin film. In order to get lattice parameters, Rietveld refinement was used with PCR file of powder. I got chi-square value 2.7 but Rp value was around 34. Can I directly use Braggs equation to find out lattice parameters?
Or is there any other way to find out lattice parameters ?
Yes. If you already know the crystal system you can try to index the pattern by hand. With the formula for orthorombic systems you can calculate the lattice Parameters from the d spacings and hkl indices
Yes, you can. But by the way you find several lattice parameters that of course you can make an average. On the other hand if you used a diffractometer machine, normally there is a part in its software that you can fine set of lattice parameters, which is reliable. If you are not able to use this, it is better to apply "least squares method". I refer you to an X-ray book such as "Elements of X-Ray diffractions" by B D Cullity and S R Stock, chapter 11th and Cohen Method. Be successful
