I HAVE done a cytotoxic assay were I exposed same number of cells to different concentration of drugs. In the set up I have a control of cells with no drug which is 100% viable
I HAVE calculated their percentage viability for all drug concentrations.
But I want to show the stistical difference between the 100% control and the highest concentration used which gave 20% viability
So the analysis is between the control and the drug concentration. Pls Any statisticians who can help? Thanks
You could calculate the chi-square test for the difference between the highest concentration counts (dead/alive) and those for the control.
Control: 0% dead, 100% aliva
Highest: 80% dead , 20% alive.
In attachment an R script to run the chi-square test. I ran this test on the percentages. You should replace these percentages with the actual numbers of observed dead vs. living cells per condition.
