Is it not possible to achieve SBS lasing without Brillouin pump i.e. just by using the Brillouin gain of the fiber to amplify the Stokes wave?

What if I operate my SOA + ring laser unidirectionally? Will I get SBS in opposite direction?

But, the linewidth of SOA fiber ring laser has been demonstrated to be 10 kHz. Isn't this narrow enough to get single mode SBS lasing?
