COVID-19 has taught us that we need one another in terms of food items. That is why during the most strictest lockdown, food transport was halted. This means that we need to protect our environment as it is like food for us which we cannot afford to joke with.

Environmental education is a process that allows individuals to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and take action to improve the environment. Means that environmental education is a sustainable way of environmental protection.

Environmental education (EE) plays an important role in favor of environmental protection but this is just the tip of the iceberg. In other words:

1. EE should connect very strongly to every other subject of the curriculum.

2. The role of education in general (including EE) should not be focused on mastery about the subject matter, but rather on the growth (intellectual, emotional, spiritual) of students. This is to say that "values" are as important as "theories".

3. Knowledge should carry with it the responsibility of using it for improving the world rather than focusing on personal or corporative monetary gains.

4. Teachers/professors who become role models of integrity and care to their students are much needed, together with schools/universities that are supportive of EE for all students and that facilitate EE learning through hands-on projects and activities by providing space and resources to do so.

This is to say that education needs reformation to enact these principles and to become truly transformative.

To state the obvious: education produces informed citizens (not idiots), recognizes that we exist in harmony with the environment (not separate), that the question entails moral values and obligations, and that the benefits of doing so outweighs the cost.

Environmental education allows us to inform others of environmental issues, policies, changes, etc. that they may not otherwise know about. It can also encourage environmental-based values/morals in some, or encourage people to get involved.

It will increase people awareness about the current status of our environment, leading to more activities to protect the environment

Environmental education with ecological principles is necessary for deeper understandability of the issues, which helps to take sustainable actions through various conservation practices to protect nature.

Environmental education is an absolute necessity at this juncture when WE have exploited the most of the natural resources. The current/future generations will have challenging task ahead of them in respect of these resources as they have been practically been reduced to NIL. The conservation measures may delay their depletion but would inevitably be reduced to ZERO.

Awareness of the current scenario is an absolute necessity so that they can plan their strategy.

Environmental Education is an eye opener to all environmental decision one makes. It can help protect the environment because you understand the risks involved if you don't protect it. The package of environmental education is centred on protection. we can't protect if u don't understand why you protect, therefore EED answers the why.

Environmental education deals with the need to protect the environment because global warming, pollution, and many other issues are ruining our environment badly. We know the importance of a healthy environment, and we should take all the possible measures to keep our environment healthy. One of the most effective means to promote healthy environment is giving proper education to both new as well as old generations. Environmental education and protection are crucial for the benefit of both the environment and humans, its importance cannot be overemphasized.

As long as it is not honesty in the protection of nature that flourishes, nature itself and people will suffer. It is not enough to study, it is necessary to take measures at the state level.

EE must be politically transformative. Although this is one of his criticisms, for example, against education for sustainable development (ESD). EE is necessary in developing countries where Covid 19 has hit the population the most and EE can help politically to look at this moment as an opportunity to transform democracies and strengthen them from an environmental point of view.

When we used to study in schools, there was no course reg. Env. Science or related stream that could have given a basic idea about that. Still, as of today, it is observed that mostly the courses that are being taught are restricted to Graduation, PG or higher levels, except for a few exceptions. Off late, it has been realized that man has failed to create or rather to be in total harmony with nature, the ecosystem where he dwells. It is utterly important to have the Subject, obviously with some basic introductory courses/course material, right from School level. This would not only imbibe some basic sense of belongingness to the kids and children about our environment, but would create vistas of new thoughts that would not just be restricted to standard higher academics but would also be able to extend fresh advanced mottos, the way to formulate to achieve those mottos and that way to bring better outputs for the present as well as the generations to come in time ahead.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, Environmental Education (EE) is being transformed into a more complex model, where different environmental, social, and economic factors are taken into account. This model is called Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), which seeks to create the foundations to achieve sustainable development. In Higher Education, there are some examples of the transition process from EE to ESD, especially in Europe, but in some places from Latin America, until now the ESD model is being explored in universities and its acceptance is reviewed. This is further enhanced in engineering programs where ESD is still not very visible. This research presents an analysis of the transition from EE to ESD in an Environmental Engineering program at Santo Tomas University in Colombia, Latin America. A survey was conducted to three groups of students, two groups formed under the EE model, and another group for which an ESD course was created. From the survey and a curricular analysis, it was possible to identify the inclusion status and the student's acceptance of this undergraduate program for the ESD model. As a global result, it is identified that the curriculum is still anchored to EE, but students find the ESD model more attractive and up-to-dated.

I believe that it is not necessary to have an environmental education. Because every object or organism that is in the environment, we cannot conclude that it is redundant in this life.

Ecological (pro-environmental) education is one of the few most important, key factors in shaping the future environmental policy and the potential significant increase in the scale of implementation of the sustainable development goals and the continuation of the pro-environmental transformation of the classic economy into a green, sustainable circular economy in the future. Therefore, in my opinion, ecological (pro-environmental) education should be conducted and developed at every stage of the education process, i.e. from kindergarten, through primary school, high school, to university.

That is very important question. I am not sure about the people attitude about the environment change fundamentally after finishing the pandemic period.
