Hello dear collegues

I'm having a hard time trying to find an explanation for my problem. I'm testing whether or not my breast cancer cells (MDA-MB231) and normal mammary cell line (MCF-10A) enter a senescent state in response of an iron-based compound. I've been doing flow cytometry (C12FDG probe) and colorimetric detection (BioLabs). With the colorimetric experiment, I can clearly see blue spots in my treated conditions, without any spot in the untreated condition. With C12FDG, I don't see any increase of fluorescence in the same culture conditions (same time of treament, same dose). Do you have any type of explanation for those conflicting results??
