The particle size of dry materials can be determined by standard ASAE S424.1, but I have to measure the particle size of the cassava pulp to evaluate the efficiency of cassava milling process. I can not dry the material because the particles stick and lead to erroneous results.

I know the scientific instruments supplier Sympatec (https://www.sympatec.com/index.html) provide facilities able to measure particle size and shape distributions of various kind of materials. Both in liquids or on dry powders.
And both in lab or on process line.
I have met a sales ingineer from this company, who has shown me one of their lab instruments (QUICPI equipped for powder analysis). He told me he has recently sold an equivalent facility to measure fibers size and shape distributions within orange juice...

When people separate soil into fractions based on particle size ie clay, silt and sand for a physical analysis it is done first by suspending them in a dispersed state and then let them sit to settle out. They do this in zones. I believe you can use a similar approach in your wet milling.analysis. First suspend the materials in an excess of water possibly with detergent to separate them more conclusively than the settling and coarse material should be on the bottom and medium inbetween and then fines on top. These areas can be characteristizes and used to determine differences between the size categories.
