I understand the standard deviation, and how to get to standard errors, but not sure I understand the logic why standard errors could be used.
Maybe, it is a way to show two magnitudes on the same graph which eventually allows you to implement an ANOVA in order to see whether the average values you should also show, are either close enough or not to each other.
Standard deviation or error can be used to show the variation in the data set and compare these variation among different datasets.
You can use stock chart or column chart to show this plot.
