I sincerely need a new edition of SAS or Genstat statistical package for analysis. The one a friend gave to me has expired. Thank you so much for your help in advance.
Both of those packages are commercial software, and you need to buy a license. Using pirate software can get your institution into very serious trouble. I know of several instances where universities were inspected for pirate statistical software recently and ended up paying hefty fines.
If you have no budget, you should explore the R package. It's hard to learn to start with but very powerful, and there are many helpful websites and resources to help you to learn.
Please do not use pirate software. The people who write the software deserve to be paid for their work as much as you deserve to be paid for yours.
I only heard about SAS. Does your university have a license for SAS? UMBC has a license and students can use it, but I mainly use R instead though for my statistics. Maybe check with your library if they have it?
For the genstat license, you could buy from VSNi company. For more information you can directly email to [email protected]. I think they have the academic price that not much high.
