I want to find out the trophic position of a carnivore using estable isotope analysis from feacal samples. I found a protocol to isolate colonocites from human feaces (Matsushita, et al. 2005) but I'm not sure if its going to work with otter feaces since the protocol uses magnetic beads impregnated with human monoclonal antibodies. Does anybody knows if there is a simpler protocol for colonocites or epithelial intestinal cells isolation than the one I found. Thank you

Thank you so much for the papers, I think that maybe I've been trying something that was going to complicate more my methods. I had the idea that maybe if I could isolate the epithelial intestinal cells from the feaces samples I could get better results than with the whole feaces sample treated.
