Do it is reasonable to use MODIS land surface temperature data for remote areas (far from meteorological stations) instead of isotherm maps based on interpolation from meteorological stations? What is the accuracy of MODIS LST data compared to climate data for the same area? I would like to use MODIS data (in form of raster layer) for the remote mountain area, but probably it must be made carefully (or with some corrections of the raster layer)?
