By carrying a bioinformatic analysis out on TCGA dataset of 414 gastric cancer patients, differentially expressed lncRNAs were identified. After the identification of these differentially expressed genes, their effect on survival are checked. For my lncRNA of interest, the patients who have higher survival probability found to over-expressed this lncRNA.

This lncRNA was found to be differentially expressed in higher stage patients. Can a lncRNA be a biomarker candidate theoretically and have a positive effect on survival analysis?
